How do i change banner and background for 984?

To change banner go to:
Control Panel » Customize design » Global blocks » Top part of the website
Look for this line (located on the 2nd line)

To change background go to:
Control Panel » Customize design » Forum » General appearance of forum pages
Look for this line (located on the 7th line)

okey, so i tried to change background the one that used to be there is gone but the one iam tying to place there is not showing up, help please.
